Important Safety Warning

DO NOT mount any Specialty Tires of America (STA) tire on a wheel that does not meet Tire and Rim Association standards. Doing so can result in catastrophic tire failure, serious injury, or death.

STA tires must only be installed on wheels specifically designed and certified to comply with Tire and Rim Association specifications. Use on damaged or non-compliant wheels voids any warranties and places full responsibility on the user. Always confirm rim compatibility before installation. Specifications are available from the Tire and Rim Association or your wheel manufacturer.

Tire Mounting Instructions:

  • Tire mounting should only be performed by trained personnel using the correct equipment.
  • Clean the rim and lubricate tire beads with rubber lubricant.
  • Ensure the bead is properly positioned before inflating to avoid bead breakage.
  • Always use a safety cage or locking system when inflating aircraft tires.
  • NEVER exceed 35 PSI when seating tire beads.
  • If beads do not seat, deflate completely and consult STA or a certified technician.

WARNING: Mounting a tire on the wrong rim diameter (e.g., a 16.1” tire on a 16” rim) can result in explosive failure. Always match tire bead diameter exactly to the rim diameter.

Choose Aero Trainer® from Air Power for safety, quality, and performance that meets the demands of training aircraft without compromising value or airworthiness.
