What We Need to Know Before You Order

To properly match your IO-550-F engine to your aircraft, we will confirm the following options with you during the quote process:

  • Electrical System:
    Do you require a 12-volt or 24-volt starter? The default is 24V. Some early Cessna 206s may require 12V compatibility.
  • Oil Cooler:
    Do you need a 7.88-inch or 8.88-inch decongealing oil cooler flange? This must match your existing cooler or STC-specified part.
  • Oil System:
    Do you prefer a spin-on oil filter (integral with the oil pump housing) or a screen-type oil pickup? Most modern installations use a spin-on filter.
  • Fuel Pump Type:
    Do you require an altitude-compensating fuel pump? These are often used in high-altitude operations or mountainous environments.
  • Engine Mount:
    Is your aircraft equipped with a 4-point or 6-point engine mount? Cessna 206/207 aircraft and STC kits may differ—confirm your mount setup.
