The Continental IO-520-E is a fuel-injected, 285 horsepower engine built for multi-engine and high-performance single applications. Most commonly found on Cessna 310 and Beech Baron aircraft, it is also installed as part of Colemill conversions for the Aero Commander 500A and has been used in aircraft such as the Primair De Havilland Heron. Continental IO-520-E Engine – For Cessna 310, Beech Baron, and More

The Continental IO-520-E is a fuel-injected, 285 horsepower engine built for multi-engine and high-performance single applications. Most commonly found on Cessna 310 and Beech Baron aircraft, it is also installed as part of Colemill conversions for the Aero Commander 500A and has been used in aircraft such as the Primair De Havilland Heron.

Every IO-520-E engine from Air Power ships with a Tempest Spin-On Oil Filter (when applicable) and a complete set of Tempest Spark Plugs, standard at no extra cost.

The IO-520-E has multiple configurations—selecting the correct one for your aircraft is essential. Please provide the following when requesting a quote:

  • New or rebuilt?
  • Aircraft make and model
  • Magneto type: Impulse coupling or retard breaker mags?
  • Alternator: Included or not?
  • Oil Cooler Type: 7.88" or 8.88" decongealing oil cooler?
  • Oil Sump Drain Location: On left side or bottom of sump?
